The Father's Day Fling: Treasure Hunt & BBQ is an event celebrating families. The merchants of the Fort William neighbourhood work together to  invite all families into the area to share our many hidden gems. Our goal is to not only support a local charity, but is also to introduce the people to our shops; show off what we can do for you; show you that we are here & in the end, we hope that everyone coming out has had a lot of fun along the way. We encourage the children & even the adults to have their faces painted, perhaps pick up a hula hoop and join in the fun. We will have games for the families to play, and music will be provided by a professional dj. There is a BBQ in which tickets are sold for $5 and those proceeds go directly to the Boys & Girls Club.

We would like to welcome Amethyst Gift Centre as a new member of Visit Fort William.  It is our hope that by working and advertising together we will develop a cynergy which will help all our businesses.

TBayLaw has developed a series of videos on the topic of Wills and Power of Attorney, which you might wish to share.

Crafters' Corner has moved to North May Street. We wish them all the best in their new location. We will have photos and more information on their page once they settle in.

The Community Arts and Heritage Project presents a Showcase of Arts and Heritage Education opportunities for the community in celebration of Family Day and Heritage Week 2014 in Thunder Bay.

From February 14th to the 23rd, there are a number of opportunities to appreciate art, create art and enjoy performances.

Highlights include dancing with the Chaban Ukrainian Dancers, learning more about instruments of the flute and recorder families with Consortium Aurora Borealis, preserving your family treasures at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery and Eric the Juggler dropping in at after school programs in the city.

At the Lake Superior Gallery, students from St. Martins School are featuring paintings they created with Derek Khani. You can also create with Derek on February 20th and 21st, from 1 to 6 pm at Victoriaville Centre during the "Imagining Space/My Place" project.

Congratulations to First Wesley United Church. They are hosting the United Church's Cambrian Presbytery delegates coming from across Northwestern Ontario, February 20th to 23rd.

There are lots of great things happening in theVisit Fort William area. Check out our Neighbourhood News

Over the last few months the staff of Lake Superior Art Gallery have been working on developing this website to promote our area and its hard working merchants. As a result we have developed the website,Visit Fort William as a way to promote our businesses, not only to each other but to all of Thunder Bay.

We are just like you, a local business trying to increase our share of Thunder Bay's purchases.

This website provides a great opportunity for you to promote your business.

A web page is available on the Visit Fort William Website for a very reasonable monthly rate.

Our new website is now up and running since September. We have had over 1,000 unique visitors per month and an average of 6,000 page views per month, which is a great start.  The purpose of Visit Fort William  is for businesses in our area to work together to promote themselves and each other.

If you are interested in being on our our website,Visit Fort William,  just phone or email us at sales@VisitFortWilliam.ca

There is just one opening left on February's tray liner in the Victoriaville Food Court.

We would like to welcome Blue Door Bistro as a new Victoriaville tray liner advertiser.
